because with the plasma screen between the original and HD picture there is hardly any difference! i hope i haven't wasted money in getting it

For Sky HD Channels, I'd prefer using LCD TV-HD ready. By LCD, You have more choices to go larger in ratio of screen size with reasonable price.

only the Cheaper LCD tvs use the inferior TN panels. look for 178 degree viewing angle in the specs to make sure you're getting S-IPS or PVA
