but l can,t get the volume to work,l had my stereo hooked up to my personal before that and it worked fine and l tried hooking those up to my LCD tv and l still can,t any volume and l just want to get the volume working on my tv while my personal is on…if anybody can help thanks

What are you using to hook up your personal to the Television? HDMI should work fine. If you are using VGA or DVI only that is your problem. You need separate audio cables in this case. If your personal has an optical audio out that’s your best option, otherwise the red and white audio cables would be your next best option.
